The year leading up to the financial crisis of 2008 took away millions of jobs from people living around the world. The investors did not know what they were heading for. The only way they could check the whole process of investment was through computer data seating in their room. They had no choice but to believe this data. Finally, this faith ended up with a considerable amount of investment loss and job deprivation on a worldwide level. We are currently standing in the middle of an era, which contains great quantities of data. This data continuously alters, even can be manipulated in a misleading way. There is only one choice we can make, which requires us to have a strong belief in the data, even before we check the credibility. If our current urban texture had been organized based on a new economic system considering transparency of the data, would the financial crisis have happened? In the proposal of ‘De-Image of the city’, communication styles that can satisfy the new era of the economic system are applied; this cannot only prevent manipulation of data by overseeing the clear urban texture, but also promote the production made by data in terms of efficiency. The project ultimately aims to visualize the circulating capital from investment to production that can function as a new urban texture.
