The Urban Aquarium is a project inspired by the configuration of the fish skeleton. The project further studies the relationship between two different points of the fish and further defines architectural elements. The project finally translated into a pier structure floating on the river. The project seeks to make possible solutions for the hard-edged waterfront of the urban river by connecting the inland area and the waterfront.  The solution not only is to satisfy transforming the hard edged riverside to soft edged boundaries, but also to resolve the ecological issues. These days, people visiting the urban river limit their activities to only exercises on the shore, even though there is great potential for water-related activities. Also, the reckless development around a typical urban river has caused oxygen deficiencies underwater which destroys underwater ecosystems. The project aims to form a jagged edge of the riverside to solve both ecological issues and restriction of various human activities in the waterfront area.
